How to Breed Anubis in Palworld 1.0

Anubis still has many direct breeding routes in Palworld 1.0, but the familiar pre-1.0 answers are no longer reliable. This page uses the current table and puts lower-rarity parent pairs first.

The direct answer

You do not need to own an Anubis before breeding one. The current table contains many cross-species pairs that produce Anubis directly, so the useful question is which pair best matches the Pals you already have.

Penking + Bushi is a useful version check: in the current 1.0 table it produces Sibelyx, not Anubis. A guide that still lists that pair for Anubis is using an older result.

Decision summary

Recommended direct combination

Azurmane + Roujay

This pair ranks first by the rarer parent, then combined rarity. It is a transparent default, not a claim that these are the easiest parents for your save.

First-acquisition boundary

Cross-species direct breeding is available, so you do not need to own Anubis first. The recommended pair below is still only a rarity-based starting point; capture level, location, passives and your Palbox are not part of this dataset.

Why players target Anubis

Anubis is a base-production target for Handiwork, Mining and Transporting, and it also fills a Ground combat role in the current 1.0 roster.

Parent-difficulty boundary

Palbreedery sorts by species rarity only. It does not yet score spawn level, map access, capture difficulty, gender availability, passives, Cake cost or which Pals you own. Treat the first row as a reproducible ordering, then choose from the complete list using your actual Palbox.

Lower-rarity parent pairs first

We sort by the rarer parent, then by combined rarity. That makes the list consistent and auditable, but it does not know which Pals you personally own or where you are in the game.

What “easiest first” means

Each Pal in the source data has a rarity value. A pair is ranked by whichever parent has the higher rarity, with combined rarity used as the tie-break. It is a useful default ordering, not a shortest-chain planner and not a readout of your Palbox.

How the result is checked

The table shipped by this site comes from a 1.0 game-file extraction. The exact lookup code is then compared cell by cell with a second, unrelated extraction. Read the full source and failure history on the accuracy page.

Anubis breeding FAQ

Can you breed Anubis in Palworld 1.0?

Yes. The current table contains 234 direct parent pairs that produce Anubis.

What is the easiest direct pair for Anubis?

Azurmane + Roujay appears first when pairs are sorted by the rarer parent, then by combined rarity. This is a rarity-based ordering, not a claim about which Pals are in your Palbox.

Do you already need Anubis to breed one?

No. Anubis has cross-species direct parent pairs in the current table.

How current are these Anubis combinations?

They come from a Palworld 1.0 table extracted from the game files and are checked cell by cell against a separate community extraction. The page is version-specific and should be rechecked after a game update changes breeding data.
